T Shirt Quilt Class

In this class you will create a memory quilt with your t-shirts

I will teach you how to deconstruct your t-shirts, stabilize and square them up for your quilt design. We will cover options on various layout designs, and you will make your quilt top. T-shirt quilts make wonderful memory gifts for graduates, spouses and you!

Supplies:

9+ clean uncut t-shirts (please avoid the strong scented detergents and softeners etc. because I am sensitive)

       (If you want to use items other than T-shirts, please call the store and ask to speak to Kathy Bolar on Tuesday or Thursday.)

Shapeflex (SF 101) available at Sewingly Yours 

Cotton fabric for sashing your blocks and borders

Sewing machine in good working order

New 90/14 needle

Neutral color cotton thread, pins, scissors, large shears (8 inch+)

Rotary cutter with new blade

Iron and ironing mat

Pressing cloth &/ or parchment paper

12.5 square ruler or larger

Frixion pen or other fabric marker
