Beginning Quilting

Quilting is a wonderful hobby.  It is a great means to relieve stress and to express your creativity.  If you do not know where or how to start making a quilt, this class will get you rolling.   This class is designed so you will get a fairly full overview of quilting.  We will start with simple concepts such as basic quilting supplies, how to select fabric and we will end with how to assemble blocks and how to sew quilt top together.  We will learn how to cut fabric using a rotary cutter and how to read patterns. You will see how fabric choices can change the look of the quilt.

This class will be fun and rewarding.  You will make 12 different blocks and assemble them into your first quilt top.  Patterns for all blocks will be included in your handout. Your handout will include all information given during class.

At the end of the class, you will receive an overview of the basics of quilt basting, quilting-in-the-ditch and quilt binding.

Walking foot quilting class and basting & binding quilt classes are offered at the shop to enable you to learn how to complete your quilt.

Class is limited to 4 students.
